Our feelings conformed to the perfect contours of Christ, we stand with confident hope knowing he will finish what he has started.
Yet, even as you read perhaps you find yourself battling emotions that aren’t in proportion to reality.
Friend, our emotional restoration is complete and completing.
Today, I invite you to make time to name your disproportionate emotions. Your too-big anger, lust, fear and envy and your too-small compassion, joy, hope and love. With knowledge and deep feeling, confess them out loud in prayer to the Spirit. Again, feel their weight leave you as you rest in the secure hands of the Whole Hearted One – Jesus.
